A Portable Clothes Rack or clothes rail is perfect for those times when extra storage is required to hang up excess garments or clothes in the home. They are very easy to setup and install and just as easy to fold up and store in a spare room or cupboard. They are a cheap and cost effective way to expand you existing cupboard storage.

They are also perfect for students on a tight budget that requires further hanging space for their clothes. Portable clothes racks can be purchased in a variety of styles and features. The whole point is to use the space and rails optimumally to make sure that you get the most use out of the garment racks. Some of them come with wheels attached to the bottom which allows the racks to be more mobile, allowing the racks to be moved around more easily. This is highly recommended as they can become quite heavy once they are loaded with garments. You would have to remove all the clothes from the rails each time you wanted to move the racks to another place in the room.

The height is adjustable on most rails, make sure that you do choose one that does allow this. If you are of a shorter height, this makes it much easier for you to hang your clothes up on the rails without having to reach up on your toes or use a platform. This is also a great feature if you are looking to purchase one for a kids room. The kids will be able to reach easily to hang up their clothes, they will no longer have an excuse to have an untidy room.

The portable clothes rack don't really come in a variety of materials. They normally are available with aluminium rails with perhaps a plastic base with plastic wheels.
